These pansies remind me of Alice in Wonderland circa 1951. And flower press-ing feels like a great throw back to me. Bringing it back to 3rd grade. Circa 1993.

Pressed flowers are great for homemade cards. Small frames. I made my Mom and bookmark with one. The possibilities are endless.

Flower Press
Flowers
Paper towels
Heavy book

Trim flowers leaving a bit of the stem still attached. Take your heavy book and turn to the last page. Lay a piece of paper towel down on top of the page to protect book and absorb any moisture from the flowers.

Once your flowers are all laid out place another piece of paper towel over. Repeat with another layer of flowers. Top with paper towel.

Carefully close book, making sure to keep flowers in place. Flip book over so flowers are on the bottom with all the pressure on top of them. Set aside for a week to 10 days.

And presto magic…you have pressed flowers. All your friends will be super im-pressed!
