Short cuts are great. Especially when they make your morning routine run smoother.

Like making cold brew the night before. Or programmable coffee makers. Overnight Oats is right up there.

A great breakfast to make and eat on the run. A great morning helper on a camping trip. Or just sit on your couch at home and enjoy it just the same.

Get creative with your add-ons. The world is your oatmeal.
Overnight Oats
2/3 C milk
-use any type of milk you’d like: Soy, Coconut, Almond, or regular ol’ cow’s.
2/3 C rolled oats
-just make sure NOT to use instant oats
Handful of dried fruit, berries or nuts
1 TB of sweetener
- honey, agave, brown sugar, maple syrup, jam
Serves 1


Prepare your oats the night before. The oats will have to sit in the fridge for at least 8 hours and up to 24 hours.

Pour the rolled oats into your jar.

Top with milk.

Give a stir. Put the lid on and place in fridge.

When you’re ready to eat pull your jar out of the fridge and revel in your perfectly “cooked” oatmeal.

Toss in your dried fruit, berries or nuts. In this case I used some dried cranberries.

Add in your sweetener. I went with honey.

Give a stir and you’re ready to eat. You can eat your oats cold or pop in the microwave for 45 seconds to 1 minute to heat.
